Support Operations Senior Business Analyst

Assist the Support Operations Manager in providing business and strategic support to the Support Department and wider business

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day Bloomberg administration responsibilities including Front Office interaction and trade investigation.
  • Responsible for the Bloomberg Order Management System (OMS) compliance rule administration.
  • Ensuring Investment Management Agreements (IMA’s), Scheme Particulars, Prospectuses and FCA COLL rules are accurately coded in Bloomberg.
  • Reviewing trade violations and working with internal and external teams to investigate and rectify.
  • Communicating with stakeholders if there are data issues in the OMS.
  • Delivery of compliant trade and transaction regulatory reporting and reporting systems
  • Project Management responsibilities to support business requirements, initiating improvements in the current processes and producing project deliverables.
  • Thorough understanding of UCITS/NURS rules
  • Delivering reports and updates to senior management for ongoing projects and processes
  • Assisting the Support Operations Managers in delivering a service to help support and manage the Support business function, including Segregated Client support.

Skills and Experience Required (R) or Helpful (H) 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Operations or Finance role at a previous Asset Management Company (R)
  • Project co-ordination and delivery (R)
  • Ability to manage relationships with other areas of the business (R)
  • Bloomberg function knowledge – CMGR – Compliance Manager (R)
  • Coding of compliance rules and investment restrictions in an OMS (R)
  • Bloomberg function knowledge – RHUB – Regulatory Hub (R)
  • Transaction and Trade Reporting monitoring (R)
  • Bloomberg Function knowledge – JMGR/PREP (H)
  • Report building in Bloomberg (H)
  • Bloomberg Function knowledge – PORT (H) Personal Attributes
  • Logical, structured thought processes
  • Good relationship management skills - able to engage with and gain confidence of others and maximize their contribution to the process
  • Team player
  • Good written communication skills
  • Drive, determination, integrity
  • Ability both to see the bigger picture whilst attending to the detail
